How to change theme-color in the Google keyboard. Goto settings>>language & input>>Google keyboard>>theme>>select your choice. The first option there is for you to use an image as the theme. Most of you use the Swiftkey keyboard, don't you? Yes, because you think it is the best but, guess what? Once you start using the updated version of the Google keyboard you won't be able to switch back to Swiftkey because of its simplicity and flexibility.
